23 Sep Laser Refractive Surgery
Laser refractive surgery offers a clear, unaided vision for all those who wish to see without glasses or contact lenses. We at SEE offer you, a variety of treatments, for all types of refractive errors including short and long sightedness and presbyopia.
LASIK
Laser assisted Keratomileusis is the most commonly performed laser corrective surgery. A thin flap is made in the cornea, either with an automated microkeratome (Blade LASIK) or a Femtosecond laser (Bladeless LASIK) followed by excimer laser corrective treatment of the underlying cornea. We offer you wavefront optimized or customized or Topography guided treatments to get rid of spectacles or contact lenses with better quality of vision.
ASA Or Photorefractive Keratectomy
PRK is the procedure of choice in few cases where cornea is relatively thin, and LASIK may not be possible. In this procedure, same laser system is used to correct the glasses as in LASIK, but without creating a flap. Currently this procedure is especially widely performed in combination with corneal collagen crosslinking to regularize the shape of cornea in keratoconus.
SMILE
This is NO FLAP TECHNIQUE wherein a disc of cornea, equivalent to the spectacle power of the eye, is extracted by a very novel, simple and fast technique of Femtosecond laser (with Zeiss Femtosecond laser system). This is also, a procedure of choice for thin corneas.
ICL
Implantable Collamer Lens – Eyes with extremely high near sightedness (>12D myopia) or Farsigtedness (>6D of Hyperopia) or in stabilized keratoconus or eyes with thin cornea, LASIK or PRK are not be performed as they weaken the cornea beyond repair. In these eyes, ICL can be performed to make a glass free vision possible. A Complete Retinal evaluation is a must for eyes undergoing these procedures.
